Cookie Policy

What we store

This website sets no cookies at all. It stores at most two items in your browser's localStorage:

  • proxyma-mode — remembers the appearance you chose, so the page stays the same on your next visit. It holds only one of the words system, light, gray or black. It has no expiry and is cleared when you clear browser storage. If you never use the appearance menu, it is not written and your operating system setting is followed.
  • proxyma.locale — remembers the language you chose, so the site opens in that language on your next visit. It holds only a language code, such as en or vi. It has no expiry and is cleared when you clear browser storage. If you never use the language switcher, it is not written.

There is nothing to consent to, so there is no cookie banner: no tracking or advertising cookies, no analytics, no third-party scripts. Cloudflare is the CDN and DNS provider for this website and may retain standard infrastructure logs; see cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

The Proxyma application itself

This policy covers the proxyma.ai website and the cookies the Proxyma application sets.

A Proxyma Enterprise Server deployment sets one strictly necessary cookie when a conversation starts in its chat (Proxyma Desktop and Proxyma Home Server have one user and set no cookie):

  • PROXYMA-GUEST-ID — a random identifier that ties a conversation to the browser that started it. Expires after 365 days.

A Proxyma Enterprise Server deployment also sets strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in:

  • PROXYMA-TOKEN — your session token. Expires after 24 hours and is renewed silently while you use the application.
  • PROXYMA-REFRESH — renews that session without asking you to sign in again. Expires after 30 days and is sent only to the endpoint that renews it.
  • SESSION — set only when you sign in with Google, GitHub, Microsoft or your organization's single sign-on, to complete that sign-in. Expires when you close the browser.
  • PROXYMA-MSFT-FLOW — set only while you connect a Microsoft 365 account, to finish that sign-in in the browser that started it. Expires after 10 minutes and is sent only to the address that completes the sign-in.

All of them are HTTP-only, so no script can read them. When the application is reached over HTTPS, they are marked to be sent over HTTPS only. Signing out clears PROXYMA-TOKEN and PROXYMA-REFRESH immediately. None is an advertising, analytics or third-party tracking cookie.

The application keeps a few interface preferences and notices you dismissed in your browser's localStorage (in Proxyma Desktop, in the storage of its own window, kept in your user profile's application data folder) — appearance, language, the last release notes you saw, the onboarding tour, panel sizes — and, for the current tab only (sessionStorage), whether you closed the guest banner and the page to return to after signing in.

The Enterprise sandbox at enterprise-demo.proxyma.ai is a Proxyma Enterprise Server deployment, so it sets the cookies listed above as any such deployment does: PROXYMA-TOKEN and PROXYMA-REFRESH when you sign in, and PROXYMA-GUEST-ID when you start a conversation. It offers no sign-in with Google, GitHub, Microsoft or single sign-on and no Microsoft 365 connection, so it does not set SESSION or PROXYMA-MSFT-FLOW. Everything they refer to is deleted in the nightly reset described in the Privacy Policy (section 3.8); the cookies themselves stay in your browser until they expire, you sign out, or you clear them.

Your choices

There is no consent to withdraw, but you can clear the appearance preference at any time. The page will reload and follow your operating system setting again:
